#1 Song This Week One Year Ago: DNCE – Cake By The Ocean

Biggest DROP!!!... Of The Week: Twenty One Pilots – Heavydirtysoul (–12)

Biggest Jump Of The Week: Charlie Puth – Attention (+13)

Blurbed To The Rhythm
~ While I'm certainly okay with our #1 song, it still irritates me that of all of Zedd's songs that made it on to the countdown, this is his #1 song. I would've much preferred Clarity or Stay The Night.

~ I have a feeling that Shape Of You is pretty much done with being #1. Now it'll probably just hang around in the Top 5/Top 10 for a couple more months until we start to get irritated.

~ And AJR – Weak is back in the Top 20. Lovely.

~ Lady Gaga – The Cure and Charlie Puth – Attention both made some pretty reasonable jumps into the Top 20 this week. I have grown more into these songs this past week with more listens.

~ Twenty One Pilots – Heavydirtysoul seems to have dropped out of the Top 30. This song has kind of left my playlist rotation, so I'm not completely heartbroken by this drop. However, it's still a good song. So hopefully, it can stay for a little while longer.

~ As far as Hit-Bound goes, I'm not too thrilled about the departure of Aaron Carter – Sooner Or Later. That song was very good and of course, Hits 1 underrated it. Not cool, guys.

~ And that concludes my recap of this relatively boring week.

  1. What's your opinion on I'm The One and Slow Hands?

    1. The former I'm expecting him to like for, if nothing else, Bieber's chorus. And the latter I'm betting he'll like over This Town. Well, they both look like they're debuting this weekend, so we'll find out soon enough.

  2. I really hope Break My Heart and Still Got Time leaves Hit Bound and never get announced by Spyder Harrison on the weekend countdown. Do you know why I hate those songs?

    1. I really hope Swalla leaves HitBound and never get announced by Spyder Harrison on the weekend countdown. Do you know why I hate this song?

      Delete
    2. No, because neither of you have explained anything. You just keep repeating the same things with no explanation as to why.

      Delete
    3. Swalla is like a normal rap song and I hate it.

      Delete
    4. WAMB10: No offense, but that was a rather weak explanation.

      Delete
    5. I don't know why but I actually don't like Swalla.

      Delete
    6. That was for Adrian, because he is one hundred percent right.

      Delete
    7. It's not a normal rap song, it's nothing from the likes of Drake, Migos, Lil Uzi Vert, Rae Sremmurd, or even the two guest artists. It's much better made, from the more upbeat production, Nicki's verse is decent, and even Jason's high falsetto doesn't bother me.

      Delete
  3. Here's why. In Break My Heart, it was a really weak follow-up. The verses in this song are just straight up mediocre and I cannot stand the chorus. And wow. That last chorus in this song was very, very painful to listen to. And in Still Got Time, I don't like the production, and the vocals aren't very good either.
