New Entrants
~ First up, we have Twenty One Pilots (again...) with their single, Ride. I don't know why, but I do not like this song. But then again, that was my initial reaction for both Tear In My Heart and Stressed Out, and I did grow into those songs at some point. We'll see what happens with this one. But I can't see it being any more than an okay song.

~ Next we have Grace with You Don't Own Me. I'm a little aggravated that G-Eazy was cut out of the song considering that he pretty much makes the song catchy. But as far as this version goes, it's pretty good. I think she has a really good voice. But not all that special to me.

~ Ariana Grande is back after that flop by the name of Focus. This one is called Dangerous Woman and it's pretty clear Ms. Grande is taking a different route than she used to with songs like The Way, Problem, Break Free, etc. I think this song is pretty catchy. It's not her best in my opinion, but I really do like this new sound she has going. I'll take a listen to her new album when it comes out and see how that goes.

Dangerous Blurbs
~ Charlie Puth – One Call Away, Rachel Platten – Stand By You, and Adele – Hello all took some big drops this week. For some, this is good. We are in need of an infusion of new songs into the Top 10.

~ Adele – When We Were Young made a nice drop down to the 30's. Hopefully this song will leave sometime in the next couple weeks.

~ Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats – S.O.B. is now at the end of its journey. I'm 95% sure this time.

~ Fall Out Boy/Demi Lovato – Irresistible made another massive jump this week, this time back into the Top 10. Honestly, can we just stop with this song? I really don't want to hate it like I did with Centuries and Uma Thurman.

~ Meghan Trainor – No is blasting its way up every chart except this one. It's still towards the top of the iTunes chart. But this is Hits 1, so I really can't expect much.

~ We have finally gotten rid of two pieces of trash this week, Kamikaze and Wildest Dreams. Thank you, Hits 1! It's about time! :D

~ Now that Kamikaze is gone, Selena Gomez – Same Old Love has become the new worst song on the countdown. I honestly cannot stand this song anymore, so I would appreciate it if it would leave soon.

~ So DNCE managed to get their debut single, Cake By The Ocean, to #1. Congrats to them. However, I do hope it does not stay there for long.

~ If you're one of those people who only come here on Saturdays for the Weekend Countdown post, I did post two Top 10 lists earlier this week for David Guetta and Justin Timberlake. You should check those out if you haven't already.

~ The Song Wars results post for Round 5 is out and Round 6 voting is up! Make sure you vote because this is the final round! You can find both links in the web version under the tab "2015/2016 Song Wars".

~ The Hit 45 Chart for this week is out! Find out if Justin Bieber can hold at #1 for a second week in a row with Love Yourself!

    4. But White Iverson is only okay for now.

    5. I like Ride because it sounds kinda like Timeflies - Once In A While where it's not just pop/alternative, it also sounds like a rap or EDM song.

White Iverson is awesome and I love Post Malone's voice and the beat plus I love basketball which is what it's about

    2. So are you, only you instead of annoying people with recommendations, or saying useless things, and telling me, Trance, WAMB10, Graham, and Adrian to go away, you make ridiculous death threats and unnecessary gun references, and inflammatory rhetoric about Trump and homophobic insults that offends pretty much everyone here. I don't like Chase either, but at least I don't threaten to kill people like you.

  11. I should have expected Ride and Dangerous Woman to debut, but not You Don't Own Me.

All 3 of the exits I still like, but they were either old or close to old.

Some of the big drops from Stand By You, Hello, and Something In The Way You Move should not have dropped at all.

I don't really care that Irresistible is back in the top 10, because I still like it.

There are now only 3 songs I'm sick of or over that are currently in the top 10. Those would be Love Yourself, My House and Perfect.

Can we please have Work From Home drop soon? I can't bear having this piece of shit in the top 10. We just got rid of One Call Away from the top 10, we don't need something so much worse in it.

We need to get rid of Work From Home, Dessert, S.O.B, Get Ugly and Hide Away, and get Make Me Like You, The Sound, Unsteady, Stone Cold, and I Took A Pill In Ibiza in.

Let's also get Don't Let Me Down, Team and Middle on Hit-bound.

Sit Still, Look Pretty sounds too much like Hide Away.

Why is Work in the bottom 5 here, and yet its #1 on the Hot 100? and 7 Years is #2 there and only #14 here. Hits 1 needs to get their act together.

I almost hate I Know What You Did Last Summer. If we get rid of some really big crappy songs soon, this song will be in the top 5 soon.

    Top 5:
    1. 7 Year- Lukas Graham
    2. New Romantics- Taylor Swift
    3. Victorious- Panic! At The Disco
    4. Roses- The Chainsmokers/ROZES
    5. Stressed Out- Twenty One Pilots

    Bottom 5:
    1. Work From Home- Fifth Harmony
    2. S.O.B- Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats
    3. Dessert- Dawin
    4. Get Ugly- Jason Derulo
    5. One Call Away- Charlie Puth

    Top 5 Hit-Bound:
    1. Make Me Like You- Gwen Stefani
    2. I Took A Pill In Ibiza- Mike Posner/SeeB
    3. Stone Cold- Demi Lovato
    4. Unsteady- X Ambassadors

    5. Boombox- Laura Marano

    Hits 1 Recommendation:

    Most Missed Songs:
    Uptown Funk- Mark Ronson/Bruno Mars
Cool For the Summer- Demi Lovato
    Somethin Better- Audien/Lady Antebellum
    Rolling In The Deep- Adele

    Throwback Picks, American Idol version:

    Never Again- Kelly Clarkson
    Already Gone- Kelly Clarkson
    Catch My Breath- Kelly Clarkson
Mr. Know It All- Kelly Clarkson
    Because Of You- Kelly Clarkson
    Miss Independent- Kelly Clarkson
A Moment Like This- Kelly Clarkson
    Don't Rush- Kelly Clarkson/Vince Gill

Adrian I don't think I'm going to comment on this blog anymore if Chase won't stop with his annoying comments and if Parker continues his terroristic threats against Me and Chase. And I'm also placing blame on you for your inaction for not blocking them.

Why is Hands To Myself red this week, when last week it was blue/red?
Why is S.O.B blue when last week is was pink?
Why isn't Confident, In The Night, Cake By The Ocean, and On My Mind red yet?
Why has Pillowtalk been blue for almost its entire countdown tenure?
What is it about 7 Years that keeps it from being green most of the time?
Why Is Promise blue on the YouTube15?
Why is White Iverson the worst song on the YouTube15?
How come Irresistible is only yellow yet and not turquoise or red?
Is Kamikaze 2016's All About That Bass for you yet?
What's the ratio of songs from great to old to bad for you?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. - I very easily grew back out of it.
      - I very slightly grew back into it.
      - Red means I can't stand listening to the song anymore. Those four songs are songs I'm sick of, but I can listen to them if I have to.
      - It continues to be an okay at best song.
      - Possibly Lukas Graham's voice. It's hard to enjoy a song when the voice is annoying at times. Same goes for James Bay - Let It Go.
      - I think Kid Ink is a decent rapper. Promise isn't bad, but it isn't anything special.
      - It just is. I just don't like the song. I don't find it catchy at all.
      - I still think it's somewhat catchy, but I am tired of it for the most part.
      - So far, yes. We'll see if something worse comes in the way. If not, you can guarantee Kamikaze will be ranked the worst song of 2016. I believe this song was orange for every single week, like All About That Bass. So they do have things in common.
      - About 20 : 8 : 12 (pretty much green/purple : pink/yellow/turquoise : red/orange)

  34. Okay guys lets start another lyrics chain:

    Rules:
    1. You can only comment one line from the song, discluding the background chorus in the verses.
    2. You can't comment another line until 3 other people have commented a line after you
    3. Do not, do not reply unless it is the lyrics please.

And the song happens to be Ellie Goulding - Something In The Way You Move! I'll start it off:

It's the strangest feeling, feeling this way for you there's something in the way you move something in the way you move

  38. I don't mind
Letting you down easy but just give it time
If it don't hurt now, but just wait, just wait a while
You're not the big fish in the pond no more
You are what they're feeding on
So what are you gonna do
When the world don't orbit around you
So what are you gonna do
When the world don't orbit around you
    Ain't it fun
    Living in the real world
    Ain't it good
    Being all alone
    Where you're from
You might be the one who's running things
Well you can ring anybody's bell and get what you want
See it's easy to ignore trouble
When you're living in a bubble
So what are you gonna do
When the world don't orbit around you
So what are you gonna do
When nobody wants to fool with you
    Ain't it fun
    Living in the real world
    Ain't it good
    Being all alone
Ain't it good to be on your own
Ain't it fun, you can't count on no one
Ain't it good to be on your own
Ain't it fun you can't count on no one
    Ain't it fun
    Living in the real world
Don't go crying to your mama
'Cause you're on you're own, in the real world
Don't go crying to your mama
'Cause you're on you're own, in the real world
Don't go crying to your mama
'Cause you're on you're own, in the real world
Don't go crying to your mama
'Cause you're on you're own, in the real world
Ain't it fun, ain't it fun
Baby now you're one of us
Ain't it fun, ain't it fun, ain't it fun
    Ain't it fun
    Living in the real world
Ain't it good, ain't it good
    Being all alone
    Ain't it fun
    Living in the real world
('Cause the world don't orbit around you)
Ain't it good, ain't it good
    Being all alone
Don't go crying to your mama
'Cause you're on your own, in the real world
Don't go crying to your mama
'Cause you're on your own, in the real world
Don't go crying to your mama
'Cause you're on your own, this is the real world
Don't go crying to your mama
    'Cause you're on your own,
In the real world (This is the real world, this is the real world)
Don't go crying to your mama
'Cause you're on your own, in the real world
Don't go crying to your mama
'Cause you're on your own, in the real world
Don't go crying to your mama
    Don't go crying

    1. Stone cold, stone cold
You see me standing, but I'm dying on the floor
      Stone cold, stone cold
      Maybe if I don't cry, I won't feel anymore

      Stone cold, baby
God knows I tried to feel
      Happy for you
Know that I am, even if I
Can't understand, I'll take the pain
Give me the truth, me and my heart
      We'll make it through
If happy is her, I'm happy for you

      Hmmmm

      Stone cold, stone cold
You're dancing with her, while I'm staring at my phone
      Stone cold, stone cold
I was your amber, but now she's your shade of gold

      Stone cold, baby
God knows I tried to feel
      Happy for you
Know that I am, even if I
Can't understand, I'll take the pain
Give me the truth, me and my heart
      We'll make it through
If happy is her, I'm happy for you

Don't wanna be stone cold, stone
I wish I could mend this but here's my goodbye
      Oh, I'm happy for you
Know that I am, even if I
      Can't understand
If happy is her, If happy is her
      I'm happy for you

    8. Because 2015 had a lot of music that I thought was better than most of the best music from 2014, 2013, and easily 2010. However 2015 does rival that of music from 2011, and 2012. And in 2014, my favorite song was Shake It Off, which was #13 on the Billboard year end list. Whereas 2015, my favorite song is Uptown Funk, which was also the #1 song of 2015 according to Billboard. And it might be the #1 song of the decade.
