#1 Song This Week One Year Ago: Taylor Swift – Blank Space

Biggest DROP!!!... Of The Week: One Direction – Drag Me Down (–15)

Biggest Jump Of The Week: Justin Bieber – Love Yourself (+19)

New Entrants
~ This week we have a sudden re-entry from Justin Bieber – What Do You Mean? yet again. So only three new entrants this week.

~ Long-time Hit-Bound veteran, One Direction – History, made its debut this week. I've heard better from One Direction, but this song is pretty good. I really hope it won't be overplayed the way Perfect and Drag Me Down have been.

~ Fifth Harmony is back with their new single, Work From Home, the follow-up to 2015's Worth It. I feel Work From Home is similar to Worth It in many ways, one of which being that both extremely infectious and catchy. I did have mixed feelings on this song at first, but after more listens I began to really enjoy it and it became my new jam for a while.

~ The best entrant this week comes from rapper, G-Eazy, with his hit single, Me, Myself, & I featuring Bebe Rexha. I did not like this song at first. I thought Bebe Rexha's voice was annoying, which it still kind of is. But at some point I decided to listen to the whole song straight through and I'm glad I did. G-Eazy really nailed it on the verses. The lyrical content is probably some of the best I've heard in a rap song in a while. This song deserves at least a decent amount of success. So hopefully, it gets it.

Blurb From Home
~ Pitbull/Osmani Garcia/Lil Jon – El Taxi lasted a short, but sweet three weeks on the countdown. Very annoying that Hits 1 got rid of it so soon.

~ Panic! At The Disco – Victorious managed to reach the Top 10. I would've loved that a few months ago when that song was my jam. It's still good now, but not as good.

~ I guess the journey for Coldplay – Adventure Of A Lifetime is now coming to an end. Pretty sad if you ask me.

~ On a more positive note, Rihanna/Drake – Work pulled a Hits 1 Rihanna plummet, which was destined to happen eventually. Hopefully, this song can make its way out of here.

~ One Direction – Perfect seriously needs to make its way out of the Top 10. It annoys me that people are supposedly still voting for this song.

~ Adele – Hello currently is holding the crown for most overplayed song of 2016. That may be destined to change within the upcoming months. But quite honestly, I'm just so tired of hearing the beginning piano followed by "Hello? It's me."

~ The Weeknd – In The Night took a well-deserved drop this week. Same with Drag Me Down.

~ Justin Bieber – Love Yourself made quite the recovery this week. This is the kind of stuff that makes me happy. :)

~ Due to it currently being #1 on iTunes, I can already see Meghan Trainor – No as this massive Top 5 hit very soon. Thankfully, I actually like this song.

~ Flo Rida – My House has rose to the #2 spot this week. I still really like this song, so I would be really happy if it managed to reach #1. Honestly it's no contest for which song I'll pick between this song and One Call Away. So I would definitely like to see this hit #1.

~ The Hit 45 Chart for this week is out! Find out if Coldplay can hold at #1 for a second week in a row and a third time overall with Hymn For The Weekend.

Throwback Pick Of The Week: Lady Gaga/Beyoncé – Telephone

My Top 5 Picks
1. 5 Seconds Of Summer – Jet Black Heart
2. G-Eazy/Bebe Rexha – Me, Myself, & I
3. The Chainsmokers/Rozes – Roses
4. Ellie Goulding – Something In The Way You Move
5. Fifth Harmony – Work From Home

  1. Like 2 months ago someone asked you to rate a bunch of G Eazy songs and you gave Me, Myself, And I a 1-10. Would it be a 10-10, 9.5-10, or 9-10 now. And I'm so happy that your finally sick of Stressed Out and finally put Get Ugly in red. And JBH is in purple but an 8.5 on the "New Songs Out There" page so you might want to change it plus it's even not that new.

And quick question, are Sorry or Stand By You near turning to pink soon?

    3. The New Songs Out There page will be updated soon. Me, Myself, and I could very possibly be a 10 out of 10 at this point. Sorry and Stand By You may turn pink soon. We'll see. But My House is nowhere near pink.

  6. I honestly don't get why What Do You Mean made a re-entry. Can't they let that song rest for good? Sheesh Hits 1.
At least Me, Myself and I and Work From Home debuted so that's great. Anyone else thinks that Hits 1 is playing it safe by keeping the old songs and space fillers? Because I sure do.

Don't be scared to get rid of the dead weight, Hits 1!

  7. I should just review the entire weekend countdown just to put Me Myself and I in yellow (yellow on my blog means what orange means here)

    7. Trump would be an awful president. His xenophobic, racist, and homophobic policies would ruin this country, and make us be like Nazi Germany. I'd rather have Ted Cruz, who would actually simplify our tax system, stand with our European and Arabic allies, fight ISIS in Syria and Iraq, and would repeal Obamacare and rip up the Iran nuclear deal.

      Delete
    8. Trump is an abomination to the human race. Although I dislike Ted Cruz as well, I'll gladly take him over Trump.

      Delete
    9. Trump is too xenophobic and racist to be president. Hillary is a liar, who let 4 Americans die on foreign soil, just to save her own ass. And Bernie is a communist in disguise, who only cares about welfare and big businesses instead of fighting ISIS and terrorism.

  11. Our #1 song should not have been #1 again. I thought the people would have chosen Stand By You, especially after what happened Tuesday.

I'm over My House, but its better than One Call Away.

I got back into Drag Me Down and Perfect, but still mediocre.

Roses jumping to #7 is good.

Victorious and Something In The Way You Move jumoing into the top 10 is acceptable.

Love Yourself having the biggest drop is unacceptable!

Work should not be dropping. Doesn't Hits 1 realize that this song is currently the #1 song in the country?

What Do You Mean is now red, because now I find it annoying, and the fact that it re-entered this week makes it worse.

I find History to be mediocre and even generic, so its in blue.

Me, Myself, & I is the best debut this week, and currently in green, but not in my top 5.

Unlike our highest debut, Work From Home, which is now my newest #1 worst song on the countdown. This song is much like a DJ Mustard song in almost every conceivable way. The lyrics involve sex, the beat is an annoying and generic 5 note pattern, and involves a repetitive chorus, almost as annoying as Imma Be. Camila Cabello's vocals are the worst of the group, being way too high pitched and almost auto-tuned in some parts. But the worst thing is the meaning about how this girl wants her lover to get fired from his job, just so he can have sex with this girl. This is now worse than S.O.B, Dessert, and Get Ugly.

Why is 7 Years dropping, when it is currently #5 on the Hot 100?

Dessert should not be in the top 20 at all.

I Know What You Did Last Summer dropping is fine by me.

I hope New Romantics and NO enter the top 10 soon, like next week perhaps.

I'm so sad that Good To Be Alive left, because I felt like I was the only one on here who still loves that song.

El Taxi leaving was kind of predictable, considering it wasn't anywhere else.

Magnets, and Wake Up leaver were again, predictable, due mainly to lack of airplay.

    Top 5:
    1. Stand By You- Rachel Platten
    2. 7 Years- Lukas Graham
    3. New Romantics- Taylor Swift
    4. Roses- The Chainsmokers/ROZES

Love Me Like You Do- Ellie Goulding
    The Hills- The Weeknd

Okay I've got good news and bad news. Good news, Easter is tomorrow and my state legislature finally got a budget passed. The reason that is good news is because if a budget didn't pass, the schools would have to close because they don't have enough funds, and teachers would lose their jobs. It took my state 9 months to get through this budget crisis.

And now the bad news. My God father lost his job, due to cuts, my dad's hand is swollen, and one of my neighbor's is in the hospital due to a stroke. But the worst piece of news this week was obviously what happened in Brussels this week. Basically, over 30 people died, over 200 are injured, and a bunch of extremists attacked an airport and a train station.
The government of Belgium had called fro 3 days of mourning. That's the reason Stand By You is my #1 song. Because we will stand by Belgium and Europe's side.

    1. But I will be happy about Get Ugly's exit.

    2. Yeah, Get Ugly needs to remove the countdown already, and so does S.O.B.

    3. Get Ugly, S.O.B, Dessert, and Work From Home all need to leave!

    4. The three songs need to leave, except Work from Home needs to enter the Top 10 and hit #1 soon!!!

    5. Work From Home needs to stay.

    6. Work From Home has the laziest production I've seen that wasn't from a DJ Mustard song, the worst lyrics since London Bridge, and the vocals are so strained and annoying. This song could be used as literal torture to terrorists in Guantanamo Bay. Its that bad, in fact its a worse kind of torture than waterboarding and listening to 7/11.
