New Entrants
~ Our lone new entrant this week comes from YouTube star Troye Sivan. He has released quite a bit of music in the past couple of years, but Youth is his first song on this countdown. I think it's really catchy. It's not as good as songs like Wild, but it's still pretty good. It's a keeper.

Blurb Yourself
~ I am so sick of songs like Wildest Dreams. Talk about overplayed like crazy.

~ It's really nice to see Coldplay – Adventure Of A Lifetime continuing to jump. I still really like this song. Let's keep this song moving up!

~ I'm not necessarily okay with I Know What You Did Last Summer in the Top 10. Still a pretty mediocre song. But not necessarily bad.

~ I'm definitely not okay with The Weeknd – In The Night in the Top 5. I had already almost entirely grown out of the song as is. But that awful performance of this song at the Grammys made it even worse.

~ I feel like Disclosure/Lorde – Magnets could leave any week now.

~ I'm perfectly fine with songs like Renegades and New Americana staying. But songs like Here, Good To Be Alive, and Like I'm Gonna Lose You need to leave as soon as possible.

~ Kamikaze is still pure trash that needs to not peak any higher and must leave.

~ Tove Lo – Moments is really taking up space on this countdown that could be used for a song that'll actually do something on the countdown.

~ One Direction – Drag Me Down is now out of the Top 10. How about we have it drop a little? That seems like a good idea to me.

~ Goodbye, Lay It All On Me. I don't think you'll be missed that much. You'll be remembered as a song that was pretty catchy for a little while.

~ I didn't like how Hits 1 starting crediting Ed Sheeran on Justin Bieber – Love Yourself since I thought he only co-wrote the song. But one of the twenty times I listened to it this week, I noticed something. In specific places in the song such as the chorus, if you listen really closely, you can kind of hear Ed Sheeran's voice behind Justin's. Both of their voices together sound really good. Now I understand why Hits 1 would credit him.

~ The Hit 45 Chart for this week is out! Find out if Justin Bieber can hold at #1 for a fourth week in a row and ninth time overall with Sorry!
Link: http://hit45chart.blogspot.com/2016/02/hit-45-chart-week-of-february-20-2016.html

~ Yes, you saw it correctly. Ellie Goulding's newest single has impressed me to the point where it is the new best song on the countdown. Congrats on pleasing my ears yet again, Ellie Goulding.

~ Throwback Pick Of The Week: Finger Eleven – Paralyzer

~ Most Missed Countdown Song: Alesso/Tove Lo – Heroes (We Could Be)

~ Most Missed Song In General: Jay-Z/Justin Timberlake – Holy Grail

~ #1 Recommendation For Hits 1: Pitbull/Robin Thicke – Bad Man

My Top 5 Picks
1. Ellie Goulding – Something In The Way You Move
2. Justin Bieber – Love Yourself
3. Justin Bieber – Sorry
4. Coldplay – Adventure Of A Lifetime
5. Twenty One Pilots – Stressed Out

To conclude this post, I'd like to discuss a couple of issues that have been occurring lately in the comment section. I want to start off by saying that this comment section and website in general must and will be a safe environment. That is my #1 rule. As a music critique, I'm always voicing my opinion on the music out there. This review site is pretty much entirely opinionated. So it would only be fair if I let you voice your own opinions in the comment section. I always like seeing everyone's opinion on certain things and songs. It becomes an issue when people are bashing on others and being rude because of their opinion. That is not okay. Being rude in general is even worse. I have absolutely no tolerance for people being rude to others. It's okay if you simply say, "I disagree with that," or something along those lines when you're replying to someone who has an opinion you don't agree with. But saying that someone's opinion is wrong is not okay, especially when either you're reasoning is not good enough or you don't have any at all. This is meant to be a safe environment for people to say what they want and not have to worry about others attacking them because of their opinion. I also do not want to see any arguments in the comments. Starting now, if I see any rude comments, they will be deleted. I want this blog to be a place that people enjoy coming to without worrying that someone will tell them their opinion is wrong.

Also, I'd like to go over some other commenting rules that are all pretty much common sense. If you're replying to a comment, please make your comment at least somewhat relevant to the original comment. Everyone should know this. Also, if you have several things to say, please say them all in the same comment. No one really wants to see five different comments in a row from the same person all posted two minutes apart from each other. The more it continues, the more comments there will be and the more aggravating it will be having to scroll to the bottom. I'm not saying that you can't comment. I love seeing comments. I just want you guys to be a little considerate of how many comments you post in a row. I also want to make sure that you comment truthful information. Do not say certain songs have debuted Hit-Bound or the Hits 1 playlist unless you're sure they did. And finally, you should not have to delete your own comments. I get that it happens every now and then where you may have to delete your comment for whatever reason. That's fine. But if you have to do it more than five times on one post, there's a problem. Deleted comments take up an unnecessary large amount of space. If you're following all these other simple rules, there is absolutely no reason as to why you should delete your own comments. Please keep in mind that I'm not trying to be mean and I'm not setting any strict rules or anything. I'm trying to handle this very nicely. The main thing I want you all to take out of this is to be considerate of everyone else in the comment section.

That's all I have for you today. Those of you who actually stuck around to read these long, but important paragraphs, thank you. I hope you all have a great week.

  5. I'm glad Stressed Out is #1, but I still love Hello. In fact out of all the songs in the top 10, only 2 songs are at least somewhere in the yellow-red range fro me. That is a 5-1 ratio, 2012 levels of awesome.

Those other 2 songs are In The Night (Yellow) and Perfect (Turquoise).

S.O.B. continues to annoy me by jumping into the top 20.

Am I the only one who actually loves Good To Be Alive!?!?

Why did Love Yourself have to have the biggest jump? Why not Kamikaze, Wake Up, or Roses?

I have nothing to say about our debut, because I have no real opinion about it.

Pillowtalk seems to have moved into the lower range of the top 20. I would have expected it to move up a little higher, if I'm honest.

Is Dessert really going to spend its run on the countdown doing nothing? If that's what its going to do, we might as well get rid of it fast.

Lot of songs on here are either holding their spots or moving less than 5 spots, most of them are in the lower 2/3 of the countdown.

SITWYM should be in the top ten, why is it moving down?

Well this was an interesting week, one of my favorite shows of the decade ended on Monday, The Grammy's were amazing as always, and we have a new song at #1 this week. However with the good always comes with the bad, I was sick on Tuesday and Wednesday, I have a test In General Science and I have to finish the book The Catcher In The Rye for a test on Monday. And there was also the primaries that happened today, but all that I'm going to say is I am disappointed at 1/3 of the South Carolina's Republican voters. That is all.

    2. I know how would u know what's going on if you started in season 4? If ur in season 4 are you on the whole governor part?

      Delete
    3. That's why I didn't understand everything with the governor. I was a little confused by the show. But ever since he was killed and they had to leave the prison where they were all on separate journeys to that Terminus place, I started to understand what was happening.

      Delete
    4. What show are you guys talking about?

      Delete
    5. The Walking Dead. And yeah you gotta kind of watch it from season 1 to know what's going on. The governor was introduced in season 3 and he has a story behind him. And Terminus isn't exactly what they expect it to be. I won't give any spoilers though unless you what :)

      Delete
    6. I know what Terminus was. I'm all caught up and watching the current episodes.

      Delete
    7. I also think Dylan watches it. And if you have any questions just ask :)

      Delete
    8. My favorite character from the show is probably Michonne. I love her with that sword. It really makes her a badass.

      Delete
    9. I have to watch The Walking Dead soon, maybe after season 6 ends.

      Delete
    10. No start from season one cause characters from then come back later in the show. I'll have no idea what's going on. And ya I like Michonne. Carol is bad ass though also. And my least favorite is Father Gabriel I'm not sure if I've met him yet. I also can't stand Abraham I'm not sure if you've met him either. And Eugene is so random and hilarious.

      Delete
    11. Yeah, but I want to wait until season 6 ends and watch seasons 1-5 on Netflix, then watch season 6 once its on Netflix as well.

      Delete
    12. Eugene has been absolutely useless all throughout the show. Same goes for Gabriel. I think Abraham is pretty cool. And I really like Carol too.

      Delete
    13. Eugene is useless but he's random and it's funny. Gabriel is also useless and all he does is get Rick kicked out of Alexandria. Abraham is really annoying In my opinion. And Carol was a wimp for the first 3 seasons but she's toughened up and now she's awesome. I also liked Sasha at first but now I hate her.

      Delete
    14. Yeah. I am obsessed with The Walking Dead more than anyone else here. I have a ton of TWD merchandise and very knowledgeable when it comes to the show. My favorite character right now is probably Carol. For the whole show my favorite character was Beth. I personally think the worst character in the show was Tyreese. I disagree with what Adrian said about Eugene. I think Eugene is an awesome comic relief character as well as Tara and Abraham. And Graham, what don't you like about Sasha? She has had amazing character development the last season and a half.

      Delete
    15. I definitely like Sasha as well. SPOILER for those who haven't seen the episode from two weeks ago!

I loved that moment when everyone was taking on the walkers and Sasha and Abraham all of a sudden just showed up to Alexandria and saved Glenn. Abraham seems like a tough guy who really doesn't take shit from anyone and that's what I like about him.

      Delete
    16. Yeah but Tyreese and Bob died and she just lost it. All she does is lay in walkers. I haven't watched the one from 2 nights ago yet but I saw No Way Out. And Beth was a wimp in season 2 but she started to develop and died in a dumb way, too early on. In season 6 Sasha has been better but I hated her in season 5. And for a while I thought Glenn was dead and I'm happy he's alive but I think he has a date with Negans bat coming up. And Abraham I found annoying in season 5 but he's getting better also. And did you guys like Jessie? I kinda did but she's dead now. And Eugene kind of set up the whole Washington scene so he isn't completely useless. A really useless character is Tara. Rosita was but she's starting to became more of a main character. And I liked Tyreese before he died. And Adrian, if you were on season 4 yesterday how are you on season 6 right now?

      -Graham

      Delete
    17. Oh I thought I was signed in as anonymous that's why I put my name

      Delete
    18. I liked Jessie. She didn't deserve to die. But her kids were annoying as hell. They did deserve to die. By the way Graham, I never said I was on Season 4 yesterday. I just said that I started watching the show when they were in the middle of Season 4.

      Delete
    19. Oh. Did you know who Morgan was when he came back cause he was from season 1. But nothing else from anything before season 5 matters now so yeah.

      Delete
    20. Yeah Sam just hid in closets and Ron almost killed Rick.

      Delete
    21. I remembered Morgan because I actually watched the first few episodes of the entire series on Netflix, so I knew who he was.

      Delete
    22. Sam was the one who got that whole family killed. I'm not going to say that none of that should've happened because then Carl wouldn't have lost his eye and Rick wouldn't have started raging on all the walkers which caused one of the best scenes I've ever seen on The Walking Dead.

      Delete
    23. Yeah Ron kinda did also I didn't like either though and Carl is like the new governor with his eye.

      Delete
  24. And Adrian u stole my background but whatever it's fine.

    3. She was not arrested. Basically she wanted to break her contract with Dr. Luke and Sony because she claims Dr. Luke drugged and sexually assaulted her. So a while ago she had filed a lawsuit and just recently, the judge made the decision that she can not break her contract and she is stuck with Sony and forced to continue the remainder of her contract which I believe calls for quite a few more albums. It saddens me because she's basically going through something she doesn't want to go through. This is why we haven't heard any music from her lately. You can Google this situation and other sources will probably explain it better than I did.

Well, Rihanna jumps up to get her 14th #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100, and is also Drake's first time at #1. This might have been helped due to huge gains is streaming and airplay, so expect this song to stay around for awhile.

For the first time, Joe Jonas' band DNCE has entered the top 10.

The band Lukas Graham jumps up into the top 20 from #35 to #20.

Well here's something I'm glad to see return to the charts, Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars' #1 song from 2015 re-enters that chart at #22.

Mike Posner's new song, I Took A Pill In Ibiza jumps from #33 to #24.

Coldplay's Adventure of a Lifetime took a drop from #13 down to #28.

For some reason The Weeknd's Can't Feel My Face has jumped from #42 to #32.

Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello duet song, I Know What You Did Last Summer dropped from #28 to #37.

James Bay's new song, Let It Go received a big gain in sales and jumped from #75 to #38, right into the top 40.

After Carrie Underwood's performance at the Grammy's it jumped from #55 to #42.

Wildest Dreams dropped from #38 to #46.

Our highest debut of the week is Gwen Stefani's new song, Make Me Like You as the Hot Shot Debut at #54.

After almost 2 months of stagnation at the bottom half of the Hot 100, Tori Kelly's new song, Hollow finally jumped from #93 to #68.

Perfect by One Direction continues its slid toward the bottom, dropping from #63, to #72.

Rihanna's Needed Me jumps from #84 to #74.

Adele's song All I ask debuts at #77.

The Weeknd's new song Acquainted jumps from #95 to #82.

Bang My Head drops from #81 to #93.

Irresistible continues its decline from #86 to #94.

And finally One Direction's new song History, continues to do absolutely nothing as it holds onto its spot from last week at #96.

I'm Miles, and this was your Billboard Breakdown.

      11. Hot N Cold

      8. International Smile
      7. Unconditionally
      6. This Is How We Do
      5. California Gurls

Those songs were pretty mediocre/bad. These next songs are the only really good songs from her from that list.
      4. Birthday
      3. Wide Awake
      2. Dark Horse
      1. E.T.

Teenage Dream and Part Of Me were two other songs from her that I really enjoyed as well. Teenage Dream would be at #2 and Part Of Me would probably be #5. But E.T. is still her best and probably will be for a while. But Teenage Dream came really close. And I mean REALLY close. #'s 5 through 15 in this list are all pretty mediocre/bad.

    4. I knew I was forgetting a couple Katy Perry songs. I would put Teenage Dream at #4, and Part Of Me at #8.

Am I seriously the only one who only hates Dark Horse and This Is How We Do? Seriously, those are two of her worst songs.

    5. Teenage Dream is a really fun pop song to jam out to whenever it comes on the radio. I love everything about it.

    6. I agree with Adrian about Teenage Dream. But I disagree with Dark Horse, Firework, Roar, Legendary Lovers, International Smile, California Gurls, Last Friday Night, Unconditionally, etc. I love all but 2 songs from Katy, Dark Horse, which is bland boring, and has nothing to do with Egypt, and This Is How We Do is everything her harshest critics said about her. How she is boring, bland, and worst of all is the lyrics. "Now we talking astrology, getting our nails did, all Japanese-y" "Yo, this goes out to all you kids that still have their cars at the club valet and it's Tuesday
(This is how we do yeah straight stuntin' like that)
Yo, shout out to all you kids, buying bottle service, with your rent money"

I actually never thought I would see the day, in which I would hate not just 1, but 2 Katy Perry songs.

    7. I forgot Waking Up In Vegas. Which would be #3.
