Adele (9) – Week Of January 9, 2016

This is getting ridiculous. This song is extremely overrated at this point. I officially don't like it anymore. Adele has had better music in the past. Let's please get a new song at #1 soon. I don't know how much longer I can take having it at #1. Before we get to this week's Fresh 45, here are the songs we're saying goodbye to this week.

New Entrants
~ Tove Lo is back........again. Talking Body and Habits were both really good when they debuted. Her new song, Moments, does not shine in that kind of light if it even shines at all. It's been around for a while on Hit-Bound and frankly, there are definitely some better songs on Hit-Bound that should've debuted instead. Don't be surprised if this song is red in the near future.

~ The Chainsmokers failed to debut the Weekend Countdown back in 2014 with their hit, #SELFIE. Their new song however, did manage to debut (probably due to Spyder Harrison's love for it). It's called Roses and it features Rozes. I didn't really like it at first, but I did grow into it. But while I like it now, I definitely don't see myself remembering this song by the end of 2016. This song is a good example of something I can play around with now while it's still new. But as of right now, I can't see myself enjoying this song into February. But for now, I like the vocals and the build-up. But the part the build-up builds into could've used some work. That's just my opinion.

I'm Gonna Blurb By You*
~ Selena Gomez – Same Old Love is officially bad. Get out. Now.

~ Meghan Trainor/John Legend – Like I'm Gonna Lose You finally made the deserving massive drop.

~ There's only one good song in the Top 5. We seriously need to work on that. There's one specific song on here that is Top 5 pretty much everywhere except this countdown (hint: It's #1 on AT40 this week).

~ Rachel Platten – Stand By You made that jump into the teens I've been waiting for.

~ DNCE – Cake By The Ocean is starting to become a forgettable song. Like I forgot it was on this countdown.

~ Daya – Hide Away has become a really boring song that was only good for a little while.

~ If The Weeknd – Can't Feel My Face could leave really soon, that would make me happy. No song from The Weeknd can top The Hills, no matter how much Hits 1 underrated that song.

~ I Know What You Did Last Summer is starting to become uninteresting to me. If only the song had a little more to it.

~ Conrad Sewell's EP, All I Know, is now out in the US! I definitely think he is one of the best male singers out there right now. Especially when I saw him live, he really showed off his vocal abilities. I think just about every song on the EP is better than Hold Me Up. Just saying. He seriously deserves more recognition for his amazing talent.

~ Thankfully, we got rid of two huge pieces of trash this week. May we never hear either of you again.

~ The Hit 45 Chart for this week is out! Find out if Justin Bieber can hold at #1 with Sorry for a third week in a row and a fourth time overall!
Link: http://hit45chart.blogspot.com/2016/01/hit-45-chart-week-of-january-9-2016.html

~ For those unaware, the Round 1 Results for the Song Wars competition has been posted earlier this week. You can find it on the Song Wars tab on the right side of the site (you have to go to web version if you're on mobile). That tab also has the link to Round 2 voting. You have to until next Saturday to vote! So go on and start voting!

~ Best Song On Hit-Bound: Adam Lambert – Another Lonely Night

~ Most Missed Countdown Song: Enrique Iglesias/Sean Paul – Bailando

~ #1 Recommendation For Hits 1: Justin Bieber – Love Yourself

*Idk if I already used that one.

My Top 5 Picks
1. Justin Bieber – Sorry
2. Twenty One Pilots – Stressed Out
3. Fall Out Boy/Demi Lovato – Irresistible
4. Rachel Platten – Stand By You
5. Taylor Swift – Out Of The Woods

My Bottom 5 Picks
1. Meghan Trainor/John Legend – Like I'm Gonna Lose You
2. Selena Gomez – Same Old Love
3. Alessia Cara – Here
4. Adele – When We Were Young
5. Walk The Moon – Shut Up and Dance

    2. So here are the 5 worst artists of 2015:

      5. Echosmith
      4. Alessia Cara
      3. Conrad Sewell
      2. Twenty One Pilots
      1. 5 Seconds Of Summer

Now how do you feel? :)

    3. I always hate Echosmith, Alessia Cara, & Conrad Sewell, but not twenty one pilots & 5SOS.

      Delete
    4. 5. Loved Cool Kids, Bright was okay, and Let's Love was good.
      4. Here is fine, but her performance on New Year's Eve was not.
      3. Hold Me Up is better than Firestone
      2. Love Tear In My Heart and Stressed Out
      1. She Looks So Perfect was amazing, Amnesia was boring, She's Kinda Hot is mediocre, Hey everybody is an improvement from She's Kinda Hot and Jet Black Heart is great.

      How do you feel Parker?

      Delete
    5. Chasetronaut in the house, don't worry about Parker. He is just doing this to try to make himself feel better about his life.

      Delete
    6. Miles I thought you put She's Kinda Hot at #3 on your worst songs of 2015.

    7. Maybe I kinda warmed up to it and thought is was just that, mediocre.

      Delete
  7. Finally, we got rid of one of my least favorite songs of 2015 out of here.

Stand By You finally made the jump it needed.

Let's see, we have Hello at #1, On My Mind at #2, Drag Me Down at #3, Ex's And Oh's at #4, and Stitches at #5. Keep Hello, but replace the other 4 with Sorry, Roses, Out Of The Woods and In The Night, in that order.

Can we please get Used To Love You and Stressed Out in the top 20 already!?

See you Again is still here. -_-

I think Can't Sleep Love will leave next week, hopefully.

Let's get Magnets and Jet Black Heart in here fast.

I didn't not like Alessia Cara's performance on New Year's Eve.

    Top 5:
    1. Hello- Adele
    2. Roses- The Chainsmokers ft. ROZES
    3. Out Of The Woods- Taylor Swift
    4. Stand By You- Rachel Platten
    5. Sorry- Justin Bieber

    Bottom 5:
    1. Can't Sleep Love- Pentatonix

  26. I also agree with Remy with the whole opinion thing. You don't have to say "You suck cause you like _____. Be respectful of other people. It's fine to disagree but understand that we all have different opinions. It's fine to say (examples): "I disagree with you about _____" or "In my opinion I find _______ annoying.

Also be respectful of people because sometimes people here (I'm not saying names) go on blogs and say stuff like "I hate this blog" or "your the worst blogger." For you have tips for someone to improve their blog it's fine to tell them but say it in a polite way. Same thing with the opinions goes for this to.

Just understand we all don't agree and we all have different opinions. It's fine to disagree if you disagree don't say it in such an aggressive way. Also don't hate because as you can imagine it makes people feel really bad. So yeah! :)

  29. For those of you who think When We Were Young is slow and boring, it may seem like that from the outside, but I PERSONALLY THINK that it has a beautiful meaning behind it. Adele is trying to convey a meaning behind her music, by making it slow. When We Were Young is about how Adele's lover looked to impress her, and it reminded her of the happy days of when they were young. It may seem like a gloomy soundtrack, but you have to listen to the lyrics, and you will feel moved that they're actually kind of happy.
