Walk The Moon (10) – Week Of September 5, 2015

This is fucking ridiculous. Whoever is voting for this shitty song needs to cut the fuck out. I'll try to look at the bright side of this week's countdown. Before we get to this week's Fresh 45, here are the songs we're saying goodbye to this week.

New Entrants
~ Cheyenne is probably one of the few Jason Derulo songs from his recent two albums that I actually enjoy (for now at least). This one needs to move up and Want To Want Me needs to move down.

If Blurbs Got Locked Away, Would You Still Love Me The Same?
~ Seriously North America? Why on earth would you vote Talking Body back into the Top 5? This is beyond outrageous.

~ All these good songs that hanging around in the teens need to move up and replace all the bad ones in the Top 10. If you can't tell, the Top 10 is a complete mess.

~ North America got it wrong having Tori Kelly – Should've Been Us drop to #38. Why is this happening to me?!

~ So this is how Adam Lambert – Ghost Town is going to spend its time on the countdown? It'll be truly sad if it can't peak any higher than its debut position.

~ We have quite a few mediocre songs on this countdown. MineHide Away, and Manana are perfect examples. I Don't Like It, I Love It and Love Myself are good, but not great.

~ Jess Glynne – Hold My Hand is officially annoying. Get out. Now!

~ It looks like All Time Low – Something's Gotta Give won't last very long anymore. Well it was nice having you around.

~ I'm really tired of Twenty One Pilots – Tear In My Heart at this point. I would like if it could leave sometime in the near future.

~ My guess: Carly Rae Jepsen – I Really Like You will not leave until Run Away With Me debuts. That is my theory.

~ Ed Sheeran – Thinking Out Loud and Andy Grammer – Honey I'm Good need to move down to the bottom third of the countdown so the good songs down there can move up.

~ I may or may not create a Song War competition similar to the ones on Lance Warren's and Jack Farrell's blogs. It'll most likely happen so be aware of that. I'll try my best to have one for you guys.

~ The Hit 45 Chart for this week is out! Will X Ambassadors hold at #1 with Renegades for a second week in a row?! You'll have to click to find out!

~ Throwback Pick Of The Week: Natasha Bedingfield – Pocketful Of Sunshine

My Top 5 Picks
1. Demi Lovato – Cool For The Summer
2. Tori Kelly – Should've Been Us
3. One Direction – Drag Me Down
4. Zedd/Jon Bellion – Beautiful Now
5. Shawn Mendes – Stitches

  57. I believe Shut Up and Dance is a high-quality tune. Honestly, I can't remember a time I can remember a song being beat to death this hard while still remaining exciting to me, particularly at bars and weddings.

In general, I think Walk the Moon is pretty damn good. I saw them live recently and there were pretty few dull moments.

But anyway, you're gonna like what you like. Sorry to hear it doesn't fall into that category. Glad to see you're still going strong here.

    1. Thanks. I appreciate your input on the song and Walk The Moon in general. Personally I've heard it too much. But then again, it's just my opinion.

I just think it's odd that it's still #1 here and it's gonna be #24 on the AT40 this coming week.

    1. Ah, yes.
Fourteen years since the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.
And three years since the attack on the embassy in Benghazi.

Today we remember the courage of those who strove to keep others alive, while putting their own lives on the line or even aside.
Today we must still remember that there is evil to be fought in the world.
Yet we must still take comfort in the fact that this country is too strong to be broken.
