Well guys. I'm back from Spring Break. I got a few more days until I return to school. I have a lot of catching up to do. But anyway, this countdown sucked this week. Like it SUCKED!!! Biggest DROP!!!... Of The Week: OneRepublic – I Lived (–27)

Biggest Jump Of The Week: Nick Jonas – Chains (+17)

New Entrants
~ With our only entrant being the re-entry of Ed Sheeran – Don't, our Bottom 5 now consists of three re-entrants. And I would like them all to leave next week if that's possible.

Tryna Break The Blurbs But The Blurbs Only Break Me
~ Yes, I still have people telling me "Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars". I don't know why but it just bothers me so much!!! That's why I underlined "Mark Ronson feat.".

~ Natalie La Rose/Jeremih – Somebody clearly went too far up too quickly, so it just gave itself the third biggest drop of the week. Not okay people!

~ I could've sworn OneRepublic – I Lived was going to fall off the countdown from #18. But no, it had to have another week.

~ Wtf is Sheppard – Geronimo doing back in the Top 10?!?! I know I get pretty sick of alternative music, but this just goes beyond everything in terms of how sick I am of it.

~ Taylor Swift continues her streak of weeks in the Top 10 by passing it down to our #2 song, Style. It seems as though this song is only thing that can cure this countdown with a new #1. While I prefer our #5 or even our #4, Style is the only song that I'm positive will take over the countdown.

~ Pitbull/Ne-Yo – Time Of Our Lives is another song that is still really popular and left too early.

~ Vance Joy – Riptide is annoying the crap out of me right now!!! Get out of this countdown!!!

~ Steve Aoki/Moxie – I Love It When You Cry debuted on Hit-Bound. I have definitely heard better from Steve Aoki. This song is alright though.

~ Wiz Khalifa/Charlie Puth – See You Again has recently hit #1 on iTunes. Let's get that song to the countdown please! I love it!

~ Today is Austin Mahone's birthday! He is now 19 years old. Happy Birthday from everyone here at the SiriusXM Hits 1 Weekend Countdown blog. #HappyBirthdayAustinMahone (He's so cute!)

~ BREAKING NEWS: It is rumored (and most likely true) that Taylor Swift now has a name to write in her blank space. And that name is Calvin Harris. They've been spotted holding hands quite a bit recently, which reporters apparently count as PDA. I expect two things out of this relationship.
  1. A new Calvin Harris track featuring vocals from Taylor Swift.
  2. (If they break up) A new Taylor Swift song about her relationship with Calvin Harris.

(Yes, I'm only in it for the music. But I'm a music critique. So what do you expect?)

I don't see this relationship lasting very long since Taylor Swift doesn't exactly know how to keep a boyfriend for a long period of time. But we'll see. I would like to see this relationship go for a little while. But you know celebrities. They can't keep relationships for very long, especially Taylor Swift. But from Calvin Harris' and Rita Ora's relationship some time last year, Rita Ora's song I Will Let You Down was created featuring the DJ help of Calvin Harris. So let's see how this relationship will go in terms of possible collaborations.

My Top 5 Picks
1. Ellie Goulding – Love Me Like You Do
2. Marlon Roudette – When The Beat Drops Out
3. Natalie La Rose/Jeremih – Somebody
4. Nick Jonas – Chains
5. R5 – Let's Not Be Alone Tonight

My Bottom 5 Picks
1. Sheppard – Geronimo
2. Mark Ronson/Bruno Mars – Uptown Funk
3. Vance Joy – Riptide
4. Ed Sheeran – Thinking Out Loud
5. Kelly Clarkson – Heartbeat Song

  5. Here's a review for y'all!

x29. Pitbull hasn't really had that much success on this countdown since Timber. So, no surprise here. I feel sorry for Leah, though. (yellow)

    45. Inevitable but nevertheless aggravating. (purple)
    44. That's MORE THAN ENOUGH. (turquoise)
    43. Oh…welcome back, I guess. (yellow)
    42. Is this an all-time record of re-entrants on the countdown? Also, when I listened to it, they played Earned It here by mistake. (turquoise)
    41. Back to the trough. (turquoise)
    40. I really don't want to hate you. (yellow)
    39. Okay, THIS was unexpected. (green)
    38. And this is still Ear Poppin' Music. Huh. (pink)
    37. I officially have no opinion on this song. (dark green)
    36. That's enough… (yellow)
    35. Please stop… (yellow)
    34. ………this isn't even funny. (red)
    33. This will either flop or smash here. I'm hoping it SMASHES. (green)
    32. It's starting to wear off on me… (pink)
    31. LEAVE THIS COUNTDOWN (orange)
    30. THIS SONG MUST STOP DROPPING (green)
    29. Huh. I think it still has a chance… (green)
    28. You've had your time. (yellow)
    27. OH (blue)
    26. This one probably won't do so well. (blue)
    25. TOP TEN NOW (green)
    24. see comment above (green)
    23. Could this hit top 10? (blue)
    22. KEEP RISING (green)
    21. Come on, JUMP! (green)
    20. It seems that a second wave of promotion is setting in for this song…alright. (pink)
    19. I don't think this one'll do so well, sadly. After seeing the fates of Summer and Blame, it'll probably take a miracle for this to go past the top 15. (green)
    18. I saw her performance on Ellen. It was pretty good. (green)
    17. Quick question: why don't they credit Sage the Gemini? I've only heard his name said on an Ear Poppin' Music ident. Weird. (red)
    16. Could it hit #1? I hope so. (green)
    15. I've got a feeling this song will re-enter the top 10. (green)
    14. I'd be ecstatic if this wasn't the remix. (blue)
    13. OH WOW (green)
    12. YES YES YES (green)
    11.

    Life is wonderful. (turquoise/yellow)
    10. I honestly have no idea if this song'll hit #1. (blue/green oblivion)
    9. Why did I ever hate this song?! (green)
    8. Oh, okay! (green/pink)
    7. Could this hit #1? I don't know… (blue)
    6. This one hit #1 on the overall top 40 chart this week. Congratulations, Maroon 5! (blue)
    5. Maybe this song won't hit #1 after all. (blue)
    4. I would've preferred this song to hit #1 out of all of the top 5. (green)
    3. It is not Bruno Mars - Uptown Funk You Up. It is MARK RONSON/Bruno Mars - Uptown Funk! Exclamation point optional. (yellow)
    2. Could this song break "the AAAAALLLMMIGHTY" Taylor Swift's #1 streak? (yellow)
    1. I'm happy this really odd and turbulent week ended on a positive note. (green)
**Also, I see that Adrian is refusing to acknowledge the single cover for this song as correct. Here's Exhibit C: go on iTunes. Look at the cover for the Sing ringtone. Look at the cover for the Don't EP. Look at the cover for the Bloodstream single. There's a pattern for the singles from x (Multiply). The cover I have presented for Thinking Out Loud follows that pattern.**

      9. Oh, great. YOU'RE still here.
      8. This might be the worst/oldest song here in the top ten- so, yeah, it's a definite red/turquoise.
      7. Woohoo! Go Ari!
      6. #old (sigh...)
      5. Is it weird that this is turquoise for me?
      4. Whoever thinks this song is NOT old is completely insane. :P
